2026 STCW SASH Changes

A summary of the SASH training requirements effective from 1 January 2026.

From 1 January 2026, STCW makes training against harassment and violence (SASH) mandatory.

Scope Awareness and prevention modules are added for everyone on board.

Transition Some basic safety certificates obtained before 1 January 2026 may not include the SASH module; in that case the certificate is considered incomplete.

Sailorboard check Sailorboard scans documents such as pre-2026 PSSR and shows a warning on your profile if the SASH module is missing.
